Algarve restaurant, The Lemon Tree, (in Almancil) in association with Prime Wine (importer of South African wines), recently offered their support to ACCA in a novel way. They generously donated €5 for every bottle of Chardonnay or Pinotage they sold to their customers in November. They raised an amazing €300 for ACCA in just 4 weeks.
Margaret Garnett, ACCA Committee member, had approached them about doing ‘something for the kids’ and was delighted with the way they embraced the idea and introduced this innovative fundraising initiative. It is clear their customers were impressed, too, as some even gave extra once they knew what it was all about.
Could this be the start of a growing trend? ACCA certainly hopes so!
