Hark! The ‘Heavenli’ Angels did sing (and dance)!
Heavenli, platinum-selling recording artist from the group Honeyz, recently moved over here and she didn’t waste any time in offering her services to ACCA (helping children in need in the Algarve).
In the week before Christmas she lead a group of local children in singing Christmas Carols at Quinta Shopping to raise money for the charity.
The children brought a great Christmas feel to Quinta shopping and lots of local people turned out to view the spectacle. They kicked off with the “São Lourenço Angels” who performed a fantastic dance routine, choreographed by Karen Roberts (Fitbods, Almancil). This was followed by Heavenli’s children’s choir, who sang a range of well-known Christmas songs.
The children taking part were all local and ranged from 5 to 12 years old. They had all given up their time to practice the show during the weeks before and it was worth it, because they brought a true smile to everyone’s face, despite the damp, cold weather.
And, more importantly, they raised a fantastic €403, which will help children in need in the Algarve.
ACCA would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved, especially Heavenli who, according to one onlooker, certainly lived up to her name!
