Supermarket opening hours in the Algarve at Easter
If you are due to arrive in the Algarve at Easter and wondering where you can get your shopping then let us reassure you that there should be a supermarket open near you!
We have checked with local branches of Modelo, Pingo Doce and Intermarche supermarkets ("supermercados") and they will be open in the mornings on Good Friday. Modelo and Pingo Doce will also be open the same on Easter Sunday and we think Intermarche will too but got a "não sei" ("I don't know") response to that question!
The Continente Supermercados at Portimão and Algarve Shopping in Guia (Albufeira) will open in the mornings too as will the Jumbo Supermercardo at Forum Algarve in Faro.
Lidl and Aldi stores are normally open every day from 9am to 9pm.
Easter Monday is not a holiday in Portugal so everything will be open as normal.
