We went to Cabanas earlier in the week and will be updating photos on Cabanas Uncovered very shortly but as a quick view of the new watefront and walkway here are a couple of photos.
The eastern end of the waterfront at Cabanas and the slipway for the water taxis to the beach. Sorry about the crane but it appeared to be lifting in a floating pier !
The western end of the waterfront in Cabanas and the photo is just showing one of the shaded seating areas that are spaced along the front.
Cabanas is such a peaceful resort and even with it's "makeover" is still very much a fishing village even if a little "posher" than previously!
The new walkway runs from the fishing port at the western end to the eastern end near the fort. It really has made a huge difference and with sunshades and seating at intervals along the way to relax and enjoy the view to Cabanas beach really makes the most of the lovely view. Driving along most of the front is now one way...another advantage and the cafes and restaurants now have a proper pavement to put their outside tables on.
