Following the success of the first "Get back on your bike" ride last weekend, the second ride takes place next weekend on Sunday 18th September
Algarve Bike Rides this week
Wednesday 14th September 2011:- Bike Ride starting in Quinta do Lago. Meet at Courtside cafe at Jim Stewarts tennis centre at 5.45 pm ready for a 6pm start. This will be a fairly moderate ride of around 25 to 30km without a cafe stop! Afterwards there will be a chance for drinks and snacks at Courtside cafe.
Saturday 17th September 2011:- Bike Ride starting in Silves. Meet in the car park by the river on the western edge of town at 09.15 ready for a 09.30 start. This will be a fairly fast and challenging ride of around 35 km on a mixture of dirt tracks and tarmac with a cafe stop somewhere along the way.
Sunday 18th September 2011:- "Get back on your bike"! ( Sam ):- Bike Ride starting at Koko Laine cafe in Quinta do Lago, meet at Koko Laine at 09.15 ready for a 09.30 start. This will be a very easy paced ride on mostly flat roads and a few dirt tracks,there will be a chance for a cafe stop at the end of the ride. Note :- There is parking along the main road by the golf driving range or on the right at the next roundabout where the golf course car parks are.
Sunday 18th September 2011:- Bike Ride starting in Moncarapacho (Paul ). Meet by the cemetery in Moncarapacho at 09.15 ready for a 09.30 start. This will be a regular Sunday easy ride on a mixture of dirt tracks and tarmac roads, with a cafe stop somewhere along the way!
Wednesday 21st September 2011:- Bike Ride starting in Vilamoura. Meet at O Sino restaurant/bar at Prado do Golfe in Vilamoura. From the main lights on the EN125, turn left at the second roundabout as if going to the Old course, then right at he next roundabout and immediately left into Prado do Golfe. Meet at 5.45 for a 6.00 start. This will be a moderately challneging ride without a cafe stop. There will be the chance for drinks and snacks afterwards at O Sino.
If you require directions to any of the starting points, please contact Paul in advance of the ride, so that he can give you more precise instructions.
Note:- If you are planning on attending a ride please let Paul know either by e-mail or on Facebook so that he can contact you if a ride is to be cancelled for any reason. He will contact you via text so please include your mobile phone number.
