Meu Limão Tapas and Wine Bar has been featuring on LagosUncovered.com for a while now, but we were very pleased when Senhor Rodriguez invited us to dinner to see his new menus and to try his new "Vegan Mixed Plate" and some special mussels!

He had obviously remembered that we have a vegan in our camp so who better to try his new dish! Very rarely do we see "Vegan" dishes here in the Algarve, despite most restaurants including vegetarian options on the menu these days, so it was an absolute pleasure to accept!
For April 2009, Meu Limão has launched new menus, for breakfast, with breakfast specials too, and main menus for lunch and dinner. April is also "The Month of the Mussel" at Meu Limão Tapas and Wine Bar so our visit to the restaurant was perfectly timed! The Vegan Mixed Plate (7,50) was fantastic...helpings of lentil stew with pitta bread, mushrooms and hummous 'and' a choice of rice or potatoes. The "Devil" spicy mussels (only 6 euros for 1/2KG) also went down a treat (though not with our vegan of course!).
The new menus have a huge amount of choice, with a variety of Tapas dishes (many suitable for vegetarians), soups, salads, main courses of fish, hamburgers, paella, chicken and more! Meu Limão is also open for breakfast (serving from 9.30am to 12pm) with a big breakfast menu and breakfast specials:
- "Latino" - cappuccino + croissant + orange juice (2,90€)
- "Country" - corn bread + Serrano ham + cheese + butter + coffee latte (4,80€)
- "Alpen" - museli + fruits + coffee latte (4,90€)
- "English" - Eggs + bacon + mushrooms + toasts + butter + tea / coffee (4,50€)
Meu Limão Tapas and Wine Bar is a beautiful restaurant (just near St Antony's church - the 'Golden Church') with outside seating to enjoy a sunny day and great food and wines.
