We thought during the 'out of season' months we would give you more detailed information about the Algarve weather by taking a daily photo on the cliffs at Ponta da Piedade in Lagos which will not only show the colours of the sky and sea but will also show the changes in the vegetation on the cliffs over the coming months. We will also be giving two temperature readings each day - one is the shade or air temperature (this is the one seen on the weather forecasts) and the other is the temperature in the sun (sometimes quoted as "feels like"). The summary so far is - hot and sunny!

9th October 2009:
24°C in the shade
29°C in the sun.
Clear blue skies all day, but with a light breeze so a bit cooler than yesterday.

10th October 2009:
26°C in the shade
33°C in the sun
Clear blue skies all day

11th October 2009:
28°C in the shade
36°C in the sun
Very hot! Clear blue skies all day and a very warm evening too.

12th October 2009:
25°C in the shade
33°C in the sun
Clear blue skies and a mass of dragon flies this morning on the cliffs of all colours! There were also butterflies galore.
