Here are some more photos from the cliffs at Ponta da Piedade, Lagos, to show you what the weather has been like since the last update. (The coastline in the distance is Sagres - the most southwesterly point in Europe). Until the last 2 days it has been hot and sunny with blue skies. Yesterday we had some really heavy rain and today there are still a few clouds around giving the occasional light shower. This morning we saw the first flowers on the Sweet Alisons - a sign that our "spring" is nearly here!

Less than 5 minutes after taking this photo the heavens opened! There were prolonged heavy showers throughout the day but by early evening it had stopped.

There's still a little rain around today with a few grey clouds but the sun is shining too so it's warmer than yesterday.

Sweet Alison already in flower on 21st October! You would expect to see this in flower from February onwards, but everything is ahead in the Algarve!
