Apologies for being a little remiss in doing a weather update this month - but here it is now!
This last week has been very windy! Lagos is known as the windy city so it will have been worse here than some areas, but it hasn't rained and it hasn't been particularly cold. Nightime temperatures have been between 10 and 15°C and daytime have been around 17/18°C. It's certainly 'blown the cobwebs away' when we've been to the Ponta da Piedade in a morning!
1st to 5th February was carnival time across the Algarve and unfortunately there was quite a bit of rain around over the weekend so it was a bit disappointing for the towns who celebrated on Saturday. By Monday the sun was shining and it was really warm - we were in Quarteira on the Monday and people were enjoying the beach and sitting in the sun along the promenade. On the Tuesday we went to watch the carnival at Sagres - which was brilliant by the way! -and it was glorious sunshine (around 23°C).
So a summary would be along the lines of - changeable, not particularly cold, quite a lot of sunshine and some rain.
