The last 2 weeks in December have been rather mixed with a lot more rain and a lot less sunshine than normal for this time of year! We also had an earthquake in the early hours on 17th December measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale - we shook and rumbled but no damage was reported anywhere. Apologies for not having a photo for everyday, but Christmas preparations got in the way on a few days!

There was a lot of rain overnight and some heavy showers during the day, but much warmer than yesterday.

A lovely day - sunny and warm with just a few little clouds! The photo was taken about 4pm as the sun moved westwards towards Sagres.

Most of the day was very wet and cold but by late afternoon the sun came out giving a lovely cler view of Monchique.

Quite a cool start to the day at just 9°C but warmed up by midday. Cloudy most of the day but some sunshine later in the afternoon. Dry!

Rain, rain and more rain today and some of it very heavy! No chance of seeing the Monchique hills from Lagos today!

Heavy showers throughout the day with just an occasional break in the clouds. The view is across Lagos bay with Batata beach in the foreground and Meia Praia in the background.

Mostly sunny today with lovely blue skies. A little breezy and just an occasional light shower. The night was clear and dry for the fireworks at midnight along the Algarve coast giving us a fantastic view of the displays at Lagos, Alvor, Praia da Rocha, Portimão and Albufeira!
