August in the Algarve has been an incredible month for the weather, with temperatures soaring to the mid to high 30s for many of the days. Clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine have welcomed the thousands of tourists that have been flooding in and holidays have been made by endless opportunities to go to the beach, enjoy swimming and water sports, or simply strolling around resort. It has been an absolute pleasure to see so many people filling the towns and beaches, and restaurants, bars and activities have benefitted hugely from the swell of people. Even in August, the Algarve can still have a slight breeze (particularly in western Algarve) which makes it the perfect place for families and here in Lagos we tend to get a little extra (in our "Windy City") so we've thoroughly enjoyed the month and treated ourselves to weekends at the beach!

As we embark on September, we have seen the odd sea mist and brief overcast spell in Lagos but the temperature is still lovely - vest t-shirts and shorts are the order of the day! September in the Algarve is always a great month for the weather (we say confidently) but of course we will keep you posted! Don't forget, that the Algarve benefits from a fantastic all-year-round climate and the next few months will still be sunny with blue skies more often than not, so if you're getting tired of gloomy days and talks of Autumn and how many shopping days left until Christmas, leave it all behind and come and join us!
