Algarve weather in October was, as usual, lovely! There were a few days of rain (which is much needed) but most of the month was dry, warm and sunny. It was still t-shirts and shorts and beach weather. With temperatures regularly hitting 28 to 30°C in the sun and in the low 20'sC in the shade autumn seemed a million miles away! The days started to noticeably shorten with it getting dark around 7.30pm at the beginning of October and close to 7pm by the end of the month. When then the clocks changed on the last weekend (in line with the UK ) sunset was around 6pm. A big difference between the UK and the Algarve is that the skies are blue and the heat stays in the day until the sun actually sets so there isn't a long twilight period.

The strip, Albufeira 4th October	Algarve Autodrome 17th October

Yes..the first photo is 'The Strip' in Albufeira! It is a delightful garden at the northern end opposite Hotel Montechoro! The Algarve Autodrome is near Portimão and had Historic Formula 1 racing on the 16th and 17th October.
