Well, it had to happen eventually and today is the day! It actually started last night with a small thunderstorm and quite a bit of rain, then the skies cleared again until this morning. It has really been quite torrential this morning and after a brief respite is pouring again now at midday. The temperature hasn't dropped, it's still around 21°C outside.
The Algarve certainly needs some rain as it has been so dry, but I can't say our dog was very impressed when he went for his morning walk! In fact it was a very short walk!
One bonus is that we have got a new visitor - a baby gecko - that has appeared overnight, no doubt looking for a dry spot. It's very small and very cute!
