Monchique, Algarve
Monchique is in the hills in the north western Algarve. It is just below Foia, the highest point in the Algarve. Monchique is literally a breath of fresh air and quite different from the coastal Algarve. If you have the time - follow the path to the "Convento" - the views are fabulous and the walk through the woods is lovely!
