Albufeira beaches to the west of the town
Albufeira's western beaches start at Praia dos Salgados which is a continuation of Praia Grande at Armacao de Pera. Here the beach is long and sandy with gentle dunes but a little further on, just past Gale, the beaches are backed by cliffs and have some great rocks making smaller coves.
