Faro Transfer - Information
Faro shuttle transfers are the most economical way to travel from Faro Airport, as you will share with other holidaymakers and the price will be per person, but it may take a little longer depending on whether you are one of the first or the last to be dropped off.
Alternatively you can book private Faro transfers and the companies offer different sizes of vehicle dependant on the size of your group, amount of luggage and/or sports gear. If you are travelling with young children or babies, you can notify the Faro transfer company when you book so that they can provide the correct seats and safety equipment.
When you arrive at Faro Airport there will be a representative of your transfer company waiting for you in the arrivals hall, either holding a board with your name on it or the name of the company. It's always a good idea to get a local telephone contact number for the transfer company before they drop you off in case of any unforseen circumstances.
If you choose not to pre-book your Faro Airport transfer, then there are Faro airport taxis at the rank just outside the arrivals hall. If you are holidaying in the Algarve in peak summer then you will need to be prepared to wait for your airport taxi, because they are extremely busy, and you may pay a lot more money for your Algarve transfers.
If you decide to use public transport to travel to your Algarve resort the Faro airport bus stops right outside the airport arrivals hall and will take you to the train or bus station in Faro for onward travel. This is a cheap alternative for Faro Airport transfers and Algarve public transport is very efficient and clean; but it may not be suitable if you have a lot of baggage or a lot of people in your group.
