What to expect
This pool is in Lagoa town, not on Carvoeiro’s coast and not the separate municipal pool in Mexilhoeira da Carregação. The council’s swimming rules provide for independent use by people who can already swim. That makes it relevant to visitors seeking an exercise swim, as well as residents enrolling in regular aquatic activities.
A municipal user card is required. Check reception’s current free-use table rather than expecting to enter while a lesson occupies the water. The rules require younger children to be accompanied by an adult and specify swimming caps, poolside slippers and appropriate swimwear.
