About the course
The O’Connor Jnr. Course is the valley-side 18-hole layout at Amendoeira Golf Resort. Christy O’Connor Jnr. used the site’s watercourses and lakes to create a round in which positioning the ball matters throughout. Large greens add a second layer to that decision: reaching the putting surface is only part of the task when the contours leave a long first putt. The landscape is greener and lower than the neighbouring Faldo Course, giving golfers a clear contrast without leaving the same resort.
The course is at Alcantarilha, inland from Armação de Pêra, and works as a golf outing from either the coast or Silves. Shared resort facilities include the clubhouse, driving range, putting greens and areas for practising different lengths of shot. Book the O’Connor Jnr. Course explicitly rather than just requesting an Amendoeira round, and arrange any lesson or equipment requirements with the golf operation. A separate nine-hole Academy Course provides a shorter option for practice or developing players, but it is not an extra nine included in this 18-hole reservation.
