About the course
Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club occupies rolling ground at Lavajinho, outside the historic town. Its 27 holes are arranged as Guadiana, Atlântico and Grouse. The older Guadiana and Atlântico loops have more pine-lined fairways, while Grouse opens towards the inland hills. Elevated tees, guarded greens and doglegs give the different nines their golfing character. A return visit can use another combination, allowing players to explore more of the course without changing their golf base or repeating exactly the same 18-hole round.
The operator’s golf page offers tee-time booking and identifies 18-hole combinations such as Grouse–Guadiana and Atlântico–Guadiana. Public green-fee tariffs are also published separately from member or resort-guest arrangements. Ask which combination is included when reserving, particularly if returning for another round. This can be a practical golf option from Castro Marim, Monte Gordo or Vila Real de Santo António, with transport arranged to the golf entrance rather than the town centre. The surrounding landscape has wildlife interest, but sightings should be treated as a possibility rather than a promised part of a round, and play should remain within the club’s designated areas.
