About the course
Quinta do Vale Golf Course sits in the Guadiana landscape near Castro Marim, close to Portugal’s eastern Algarve border. Severiano Ballesteros designed the 18-hole course, whose six par 3 s, six par 4 s and six par 5 s create a different rhythm from the usual course card. Water, changes of level and the river setting influence how golfers approach the round. It is a separate venue from Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club, despite both sharing the same wider holiday area.
The operator provides direct tee-time booking, a clubhouse, a driving range and short-game practice areas. Its newer nine-hole Academy Course is another separately identified short layout, not an extra nine added to the main Ballesteros course. When contacting the golf team, distinguish a main-course round from tuition or Academy play, and ask which facilities are available for the planned session. Visitors based in Castro Marim, Monte Gordo or Vila Real de Santo António can investigate a golf-only outing through the official service. The course is outside the town centres, so transport should use the actual golf reception location.
