What to expect

Parque Aventura Vila Real de Santo António is the eastern Algarve branch of the Luso Aventura network, based at the town’s sports complex. Its tree courses use suspended bridges, nets and zip lines, with several difficulty levels. This is a useful venue to consider from Vila Real, Monte Gordo or Castro Marim when you want an active family outing without heading to the central Algarve’s larger theme parks.

The course choice needs to suit both height and confidence. Safety equipment is provided and the initial briefing is compulsory; under-18 s must have a responsible adult with them throughout the activity and in the park. Picnic tables offer a place to regroup before or after climbing. The changing calendar includes some dates by advance arrangement, particularly outside the busiest periods. Plan for an outdoor session, with comfortable clothes for climbing and balancing, and give the group time to become familiar with the equipment before tackling more demanding obstacles.
