About the course
Vila Sol lies in the Morgadinhos and Alto do Semino area, inland of Quarteira and close to Vilamoura. Donald Steel designed the course through pine woodland, with fig, oak and almond trees also present in the landscape. Lakes and bunkers ask for placement as well as distance, making it a useful contrast to more exposed courses in the same holiday area. Its 27 physical holes form the Prime, Challenge and Prestige nines, with different 18-hole combinations all part of the same golf course.
Book through Pestana’s golf reservation service and ask which two nines the round includes. A different combination can change the experience on a return visit without requiring a second venue. A driving range, putting green, lessons, clubhouse services and club and buggy hire support the golf day. Reserve any equipment alongside the tee time, particularly if travelling without your own clubs. The course is inland, so arrange transport to the golf entrance rather than a hotel or the Quarteira waterfront, and leave the rest of the day free for the coast.
