About the course
Laranjal occupies former orange-grove land in the Ludo Valley, east of Quinta do Lago’s main North and South golf base. The 18-hole, par 72 course has rolling ground, lakes and a mixture of umbrella pines, cork oaks and orange trees. Its unusual balance of five par 5 s, eight par 4 s and five par 3 s gives the round a different rhythm from a more standard course card. Players can expect the landscape and approach positions to matter, rather than regarding the former agricultural site as flat or simple.
The course has its own golf arrival point, clubhouse and practice facilities. Quinta do Lago’s official booking service handles reservations, with rental clubs, buggies and trolleys listed among its services. When organising transport, use Laranjal’s Ludo location rather than the North and South clubhouse address. The resort’s handicap and dress requirements apply, and individual players should reserve the equipment they need in advance. For a multi-round holiday, Laranjal offers a separate setting while remaining within the same operator’s golf programme, making it a useful comparison with both the North and South courses.
