What to expect
The restaurant and bar is part of Barranco da Fonte’s rural accommodation, with a public menu and a separate dining offer. Grilled sea bass or sea bream, octopus, lamb and vegetable dishes provide choices for a mixed group. The actual address is Alfambras, rather than Carrapateira village or its beaches.
Some dishes need planning: the operator lists seafood xerém, octopus-and-sweet-potato cataplana, monkfish rice and razor-clam rice as specialities ordered a day ahead. Other dishes appear on the ordinary menu. Contact the restaurant to choose the meal and arrange a table, especially when travelling from Carrapateira or combining lunch with a walk.
