What to expect
Vila Galé Albacora occupies the restored Arraial Ferreira Neto, a former tuna-fishing community near the mouth of Tavira’s river. Its low buildings and preserved chapel retain a strong connection to the landscape and the people who worked here, giving the stay a distinct heritage setting.
The hotel combines accommodation with pools, a restaurant, bars, spa facilities and a children’s club. A small museum explains the tuna-fishing history, while the nearby pier provides a route towards Tavira Island when boat services operate. The location is outside Tavira’s centre and rewards a stay focused on the lagoon.
