What to expect
The green is part of the Pedras da Rainha holiday complex but has its own bowls organisation and playing programme. Visitors range from independent travellers to organised touring sides. This makes it an option for a planned sporting session while staying in Cabanas or Tavira, as well as for groups making bowls the focus of their holiday. The tennis and padel academy at the resort is a separate booking.
Contact the bowls club to discuss playing opportunities, your experience and whether you are visiting alone or with a team. Regular roll-ups, league fixtures and touring matches use the same green, so check the programme rather than treating the venue as an unrestricted drop-in lawn. Thursday access is normally restricted for maintenance, with stated exceptions for league matches and touring sides. Annual maintenance can also close the green for a longer period; include those dates when arranging a bowls-focused stay.
