What to expect
The Rosário church sits at the centre of Olhão’s historic streets, a different setting from the waterfront markets. The church and its associated sacred-art collection provide a focused introduction to the town’s religious heritage.
Walk around the building as well as looking at the main frontage. The small chapel of Nosso Senhor dos Aflitos at the back belongs to the same religious complex and has its own devotional atmosphere; keep passage clear for people stopping to pray.
