What to expect

The present church was built in the nineteenth century over an earlier sixteenth-century church. Its neoclassical layout has a single nave and chancel, with an attached bell tower providing a clear landmark in the village streets.

Odeceixe village and Praia de Odeceixe are different places when planning a walk or journey. The church belongs to the village visit, with its local worship role taking priority over sightseeing inside.
