What to expect

The chapel’s dedication belongs to a Marian cult with close connections to sailors and the rescue of captives. Its countryside setting gives it a very different atmosphere from the densely built village churches along the coast.

This is a managed heritage monument, so plan for a dedicated visit rather than assuming it follows parish worship access. It is outside Raposeira itself; combine it with the village church or a broader excursion around Vila do Bispo.
