What to expect
The chapel is thought to date from the seventeenth century. Its high altar contains an eighteenth-century tile panel depicting the gridiron associated with the martyrdom of São Lourenço, giving the small building a distinctive interior detail.
Vale de Boi is a separate village on the western Algarve’s inland road corridor. Include an exterior stop during a local excursion, with any interior visit depending on permission and local arrangements rather than a published tourist timetable.
- Also known as
- Capela de São Lourenço Vale de Boi
