What to expect
Thought to date from the seventeenth century, the chapel was an important place for local religious life, including baptisms, weddings and celebrations in honour of Santo António. It represents the smaller scale of village worship alongside the parish church.
It is a separate stop from São Sebastião, the main church in Budens. Visitors can include its exterior in a village exploration; the municipal heritage record does not establish a regular interior sightseeing timetable.
- Also known as
- Ermida de Santo António Budens
Planning your visit
- Regular tourist interior access is not established.
- Do not confuse this Budens chapel with other Santo António chapels in the municipality.
